According to Intel, the Internet of Things is exploding - we prefer to call it Stuff That Talks To The Interwebs (ST4i) but either way, there's no denying that we are on the edge of something huge. There will be 15 billion smart devices online this year, and by 2020 that number will raise to 200 billion.
Included in the price is a comprehensive workshop kit worth over £100 that includes a Raspberry Pi Zero*, wifi adaptor, super bright LED light strip, graphical displays, buttons, many kinds of sensors, a breadboard and all the jumper cables and accessories you need to start your journey into electronics.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have all the skills you need to build your own connected devices, whether you need to monitor remote equipment in the field, prototype an IoT product for production or want to control a robot arm from your browser.
Video from the last year's Arduino-based workshop. NB the kit will differ from the one in the video but will have a Raspberry Pi and many similar components with a value of at least £100.
