Papervision3D training in New York City!

I’m really excited to be visiting New York again as part of my upcoming mini tour of the USA (encompassing MAX and FlashPitt). And with the help of my good friend Lisa Larson-Kelley, I’ve set up a day of Papervision training at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology.

I’ll be showing you the quickest way to get up and running in Papervision, and straight on to some of the fun stuff like importing 3D models, reflections, and of course, augmented reality using the FLARToolkit.

We’ll also be looking at case studies including Big and Small, and MLB.

There are limited early bird places at $199 and also 10 student places at $99, but please book early as space is limited.

For more information and to book the Papervision3D training in New York please visit my training page.

How in depth with this training session be beyond the basics? I took a look at the brief synopsis on the event website but am curious if this is just a cursory top level glance into Papervision or will we be going deep into demos for things like camera controls, mouse interactions, model import and texturing, and gaming? I’m pretty sure we can’t cover all of this in one day but wanted to throw out some genres to help gauge and serve as a point of comparison.

Thanks,

Hi William,

Good question! I’ll start off by getting you up and running as quickly as possible and get you grounded in the basics. And then we will definitely be covering camera controls, mouse interaction, model import, texturing and basic gaming.

If there’s anything in particular you’d like to know, please let me know in advance and I’ll make sure we cover it. And of course there’s always time in the bar afterwards, and I’ll be happy to talk even more 🙂

cheers!

Seb
